Angry Adobe Audition on Vista?

Hi everybody.,

I really hope that you can help me, im having problems with Adobe Audition on Vista. It won't record, I have a Creative Soundcard EMU 0404, and a Behringer MINIMIC MIC800 preamper. I used it on Windows XP before I got this laptop.

Isn't there a patch or something to fix it?

I've got Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

Thanks in advance.

If your Vista soundcard driver does not support DirectSound Input, you are out of luck.
Go to the Edit/Hardware Set up to see if there is an input driver available in the dropdown menu.

Otherwise you can research (google) for another driver that does support DirectSound Input in Windows Vista. I would start in the adobe audition forums.

I had the same problem and ended up creating another partition and installing Windows XP Pro and Audition on it. The XP drivers did support DirectSound Input.

Good Luck.

This may be a silly question but have you set Audition to use the correct sound drivers?

Thanks 47. I did actually get things working last night - I won't admit to how long it took me. The last bug was the mic cable. Now I look forward to having some fun. I play mostly jazz with some originals ;-0

Go to Edit >Audio Hardware Setup and make sure the drivers for your sound card are selected as in and out.
