I'm using a Delta 1010LT soundcard and Adobe Audition 2.0.
I'm having trouble getting my newly installed Adobe Audition 2.0 to play sound back through to my mixing console. I did manage to record a vocal track. I saw the sound meter indicating my vocals and also I could see the meter moving during playback of the track. But again, no sound output to the mixer with Audition 2.0. This tells me at least the Delta 1010LT soundcard is routing a signal into Audition 2.0, but the signal won't play back out of Audition 2.0. Playing other sound sources in the pc through the Delta 1010LT card, such as MP3's and CD's seem to work fine. I'm thinking I still don't have the Audition 2.0 properly configured somehow. Help!!!???

Set the Playback sound device in Options -> Device Properties.
Also, you can assign in Audition which device will play back in Edit View and in Multitrack view under Options -> Device Order. Make sure the device you wanted is listed there and is at the top for whichever view you are using. Currently I use FastTrack USB device for Record/Playback in the Multitrack View, and then use my Creative Soundblaster Audigy LZ to playback in the Edit View (Single Track editing). This will all change of course when I purchase some YMP1's pretty soon, and will monitor everything through those.

Hey, I'm still a recording newbie and still figuring stuff out, I just read the manual
![]() What I currently use for equipment is in my signature. Very cheap and affordable setup for the beginner - I haven't found the need yet for anything more since there is much to learn about mixing/recording first, before gear. Currently I find it's more important for me to come up with good song ideas, rather than polished final products. I've decided that instead of chasing the gear and trying to make a home recording studio, that I put my attention and dollars into live performance. If a song merits it enough to require a pro recording, I'll just go to a studio and do it. That doesn't mean I don't want my current recordings to sound the best they can be, I just don't want to get sucked into the gear-lust some fall into. I've increased my gear only through need (adding Yorkville studio monitors) as my ears have become educated. Next step will be a Fast Track Pro / Firepod, with phantom power for use with a condensor mic.

Pretty good for your current setup. You could also submit it to the Review section for more opinions
