Default Adobe audition 1.5 problem

Hello all, I'm new here and this is my first post.

Problem: When I record my Uke it only records on the bottom half of the track line and hear it only from the right speaker when it plays back. How can I record on both parts of the track and get the playback through both monitors.

I know this problem most likely has the simplest solution, and I feel like a moron for asking, but I just cant figure it out.

Any help is appreciated, and sorry for the poor grammar.

While I can't tell you how to get it to record on both tracks, I can tell you how to get it to play back through both monitors (providing that you're recording one source with one mic, unpanned). Simply go into effects view, and use the Channel Mixer effect on the track to mix your left and right together. If you use the Average preset, it'll average out between the silent (left) and audible (left) and you'll be able to hear it from both monitors equally.

I hope that helps!

Sounds like you are recording a mono source on a stereo track. Whatever your connectivity is the result is that you only get the right channel input instead of going into both L/R inputs.

If you are in multitrack mode, then change the input device to "right channel" instead of the default "stereo". You will then end up with a track that records mono and panned on center by default and it will come out of both speakers. This will get you want you have requested based on current connectivity.
