Branding is a marketing person's way of hooking a consumer into a perceived 'personal' connection with a product. In reality, under normal circumstances, you cannot have a 'personal' relationship with an inanimate object, like an amplifier, so any comments about such products should not be taken personally. By not taking things personally, we are able to be better professionals and more accurately use the tools of our trade.  |
