Yeah, I used one of those once and didn't realize it wasn't a 'true' 57 until after the session was over.
Anyway, I have an alternate suggestion as to how to test them. Why not set up a mic stand in front of your monitors (mark the position with some tape so there's no difference when you swap out mics) and play some white noise through them. Record that, and then slap a frequency analyzer on each track and compare the differences that way? Isn't that a little more objective?
