Mbox 2 does not show as my default audio device. I do not hear any audio besides in protools. I downloaded the mbox 2 firmware updater and when i attempt to install an error message pops up stating that i need to install a valid version of protools LE 6.0 or higher. My current version of protools is LE 7.4 and it is fully registered. Can someone please help me. Thanks!

I run a 003 so am not familiar with the Mbox but the 003 hardware only runs in Pro Tools. I cannot run any other sound through it like Windows Media Player or anything like that. There is no way to make it my default sound device in Windows if that is what you are trying to do. |

[quote=ferguson66;40219]So you can play back audio in Pro Tools? Where else would you get audio out of the Mbox?
I run a 003 so am not familiar with the Mbox but the 003 hardware only runs in Pro Tools. I cannot run any other sound through it like Windows Media Player or anything like that. There is no way to make it my default sound device in Windows if that is what you are trying to do Yah before i had bought my new computer i was able to set my mbox as my audio device and all sounds from the computer were played through the mbox 2. i know it doesnt make much sense too have my mbox2 as my audio device since protools allows you too rewire other programs but my desk space is limited and i need too hear audio from limewire. My biggest concern is the error message when i try too run my firmware update for my mbox. It states that i need too install a legit version of protools which i am. Anythoughts on the error message? |
