Default Why did my PT Session tempos change?

I just built a new Asus p6t/i7 computer for my PT LE. I used my "old" drives with my programs and data. Other than installing the drivers for the mobo and vgu and reauthorizing Windows XP, everything is as it was in my old computer. Everything seems to work like it should, but when I opened the sessions I was working on, the tempos had changed to a slower bpm. Can anyone tell me why this happened and the best way to fix it? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried changing your tempo mode to 'Conductor' Mode. Icon on the transport, looks like a little conductor, surprisingly. This will change the tempo mode from manual, which is default at 120 bpm.

Yep, could be that, and if the click or MIDI is not playing incorrectly (erratic timing), it could be the MS Dualcore hotfix is not installed. Get Service Pack 3 if you haven't.

Thanks, guys. I think it was a service pack/driver issue. The reason being that I had just built the computer and it was downloading drivers and updates all over the place. Once the weird tempo thing happened, I shut it down (after updates were installed) and posted here. A day or so later, I fired it back up and the session tempos were correct again. WEIRD. I think once the drivers were squared away, everything functioned as it should.

However, I will keep the conductor mode recommendation filed away if it happens again.

Now, its time to enjoy some i7 fire power.
