I am running a G5 with Leopard 10.5.5. It's a dual 2GHz with 1.5 Gb DDR SDRAM. I am using PT8 cs2 and I am having a number of problems that I never experienced in 7.4. One of the most vexing issues is when the system grabs a few seconds of music and then repeats that segment 4-5 times followed by a message box reading that I am overloading the CPU. When I look at the system usage meter in ProTools the load on the CPU from RTAS is around 30-60% depending on the session. The system is overall very sluggish and becomes non-responsive quite often and frequently will not even force quit. I have tried a number of ways to solve this problem but to no avail. Is there anybody who have any idea how to solve this? Is it possible that my computer just can't handle this load? Most of the RTAS plug-ins are the same from the previous system. Thanks! PerK

I have asked Digidesign a couple of times but they have not given me anything to solve this problem. I will however buy some more RAM and see if that improves the performance. Thanks a lot for the reply!
