Default Random PoppIng and crackling in Protools, anyone figure this out?

Last night i installed protools on a second partition on my mac using bootcamp on my macbook pro. Everything went fine except for now when i play back or record i randomly get the carcks and pops throughout the song.. I know there were several threads on the issue but none that had poasted a solution.. ive changed the buffer size and latency on my fastrack pro but with no luck.. Also have cubase and the same thing happens...

dont use the second partition

kill all security software
but first disconnnect from the phone line/internet

kill all automatic functions eg indexing
kill all unneeded start up software

run several good virus scans
scumware can eat up cycles that cause problems like this too
