Hi evereybody, I have a reverb box (m-one) I want to use with pro tools (7.3), I'm using s/pdif cables for a digital signal and I already synchronized both devices (digi 002 and m-one at 44.1 khz-internal) but I'm confuse about how I have to work with the sends and that stuff!!! for example: I recorded in an audio channel some melody with a trumpet, my intention is apply the reverb on this audio channel......but how?? I read some chapters in pro tools reference guide but I found it not clear. If somebody have any suggestions I will be really grateful. Thank you.

I just went through the same thing. It's all there in the protools reference guide but it is a 580 page document so....might not be trivial to find. It is a well laid out document though I recommend downloading a copy if you haven't already. Use the latest version of adobe reader and it's not bad to navigate around in.
Sounds like you have the hardware part figured out already and you've chosen s/pdif electrical cables (I chose s/pdif but used optical cables... can you believe that the optical cable was actually cheaper??). Anyway go into the "setup" menu and choose "i/o... ". You then get a dialog box. Select "insert" at the top and then click "new path" (near the bottom). It now generates a new path with a generic name (path1 or some such thing) which you should name after the device (call it "m-one" or something you'll find easy to remember). To the right of the path name is a question mark. Click that and choose mono or stereo to suit your needs. Then mouse over the grid and it'll give you a pencil tool. Wherever you click it will assign the L and R paths. I chose mine to match up with where s/pdif was already assigned (9&10). Not sure if that's necessary or not but it worked anyway so I'm up and running with that now. If you get that to work it will show up as an insert like any other plug in. Only thing is that if you set up the path as stereo it will only show up on stereo channels and likewise for mono channels only if you set the path up as mono. I think that's true of all plugs in protools anyway. Any problems making that all work out post back and I'll try to help more. Curious... were you unable to get a reverb sound you liked with the dverb plug in or was there some other reason you went outboard for reverb (like processing power)? For me it was both. I felt that I was converging with dverb and would have found a sound I liked a lot more eventually but I wasn't thrilled with what I was getting so I wanted to try something else. I also wanted to offload some of the DSP to an outboard unit. If that pushes out computer upgrade 6 months or more I'll feel that I got my money's worth. I ended up getting a behringer v-verb by the way... MF has them for $100 so I couldn't resist. It just arrived in the mail yesterday. I am digging the sounds on this more than I was with dverb. I might have eventually got there with dverb but this is going much faster with something like 200 presets and fast easy editing. I was unsure what to expect at that price point but I have to say I am pretty impressed. I've been pretty happy with my monitors from them and also with this now. I'm sure it wouldn't compete against a $2k reverb but hell I'm not going that far over a reverb anyway, hardware or software. Anyway ... I have my first outboard processor now so I'm getting kind of a stoke just from that. Enough of my rambling. Good luck and post back if you have problems carrying out what I posted. Charlie
