Problems installing EZDrummer on Pro-Tools 7.4

I'm having problems after installing EZdrummer into Pro-Tools 7.4 on Windows XP. It installs okay but doesn't show up as a plug in on the track. I used custom install and it shows it is installing into C Program Files/vst plugins. It is a version 1.1.1 and the box shows a VST & RTAS logo but is 1.1.1 really RTAS compatable or do I need to download an update?

Anybody have any experience with 1.1.1 or having similar issues?

are your other instruments showing up fine?

Do you see EZdrummer in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins ?

When I did the custom reinstall originally to C:/Program Files/vst plugins (I had already previously used the recommended File path which hadn't worked so I had reinstalled) it was late and I just checked a insturment insert on a track and couldn't see EZDrummer. I forgot that you can't see EZDrummer on a mono track, it has to be a stereo track.

Went home last night and everything is working great!

Hey there... my problem's even more advanced. I cant find EZDrummer anywhere! Not under Programs and not as a stereo-tracked insert in ProTools. I've tried installing many times, but it's the same thing every time. EZDrummer simply isn't there.
Help would be super-appreciated!

When you run the installer, make sure the RTAS option is enabled.
when in Pro Tools. make a stereo instrument track. Inserts>Stereo plugin>Instruments>EZDrummer

RTAS has been enabled during the whole process, so it cant be that.
It has to be the installation itself that for some reason fails over and over.

what has Toontrack tech support said about thus?

Haven't contacted them yet. I imagined the problem was with either Pro Tools or my pc.

Your problem is with the update, there is a small update file that fix's this issue, if you only installed ezdrummer and not the small patch, that is your exact problem.
I had the same issue, gawd darn hours of headaches, then installed the patch and presto. the patch is called:
RunMe.exe and is 5.24 MB
