Which version of Pro Tools are you running?

If it's 7.3.1 or lower I can help.

The reason you are only recording on the even tracks is because you have to manually switch the mics input. Since you have two mic slots...for some reason pro tools automatically thinks you are only going to be using the first slot and never the second one.

You change this on the plugin page (shift +). Now look down until you see "insert" (I think this is what it was called...I am going from memory - if not click on the buttons until you find one that says ->Mic 1 or ->Mic 2) and you have to manually change the mic to coincide with the slot you are recording in.

The plugin inserts are at the top of the page...and I think they are labeled plugin. Again, I have to look in that this is going totally by memory.

I'll try and find a picture online, post it up here and point these things out...
