Default Pro tools Plug-ins

Hi, I have been using Pro tools LE 7.1 for the past couple of years and feel comfortable with most of the common tasks of multi-tracking, inserts, etc. My problem is installing additional Plug-ins. For example the plug-ins bundled with pro tools and the ignition pack. They all come free as extras when you purchase your m box etc. HOW THE HECK DO I GET THESE PLUG INS TO SHOW UP IN MY AUDIOSUITE?

I have tried just opening the plug ins installers. I have tried moving the installers to the digidesign plug-in alias folder and installing them there. They still don't seem to show up. Once it said something about downloading an I-lok program. I didn't think you would need an I-lok usb key just to use the bundled plug-ins. I also figured the plug-ins they give you would be the proper format aka RTAS or whatever. Are they VST or something? Did i try to install them right? Is there a certain folder i have to put them in? For examples of plugins i trieed the Bombfactory ones, the classic compressors etc. THANKS

From my understanding there are going to be some of the free plugins that are RTAS but not for your Audiosuite part.

In training they spoke about that - if you go and put a bunch of RTAS plugins on the channel track then see if you can find a close or exact replacement in the audio suite and print them to your track to save CPU power.

Problem is Audio Suite may not have the exact same plugin so you have to compromise sometimes to get the same effect.

The free ones usually are RTAS though, or well the ones I got with my PT 7.3 were.

Sorry, hope this helps.

I installed some of the plug-ins from the Ignition Pack 2. I installed Amplitube, Izotope Ozone and Reason.

After I went through the installation process on the CD, they showed up in my audiosuite menus in Pro Tools. All I can tell you is to go through the installation process individually for each product you want to install. I didn't do anything other than that.
