Pro tools Mini M box 2 USB light Problem.
My M box USB light doesn't come on. but when I connect the USB to my computer it says found new hardware. Is my box still working or do I have to install pro tools for the USB light to appear?

I picked up this box last week and have used it very little so far - so I'm sorry I can't be of more help. But I would think Pro Tools needs to be installed to recognize the box and turn the light on, so I would try re-installing it.
Once you are able to get that sorted out, I'd be interested in knowing the specs of the computer you are using. I may need to upgrade in order to handle the system.

I have the 003 rack instead of the Mini M box. I have a "Host 1394" light which only comes on when I have Pro Tools running and the 003 connected via firewire.
I would imagine your light works in a similar manner. It should be on when the hardware is connected and communicating with the Pro Tools software.
