Unhappy Pro Tools Has Been Kicking My Ass For The Past 3 yrs. HELP!

Ok I'm Vyndetta a hip hop artist/model/self producer/self pormoter and working on my own clothing line. I have been working with pro tools going on 4 years this December and still cannot figure out why I have sessions crash on me. I'm not trained in any fashion but hands on but a bit of a computer dork so i usually figure it out except this anyways.

I have a custom built PC That i built with all the components just to purely run Pro Tools LE. well now i have just upgraded to 8.0 recently and still the save issues.

The issue is this: I try to open old or new sessions and they get to either building the edit menu or overviews and then freeze....???? It could be a track from 1998 or a track from yesterday that i just did. the re open is not suppose to be this damn hard is it?

Help!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

What OS are you running ?

Does it happen every time you try to load a session, or is it intermittent ?

You might want to try and start a session from scratch and save/reload at each stage.
Adding audio/midi tracks, plugins, etc and see if you can narrow down at what point it starts to freeze.
