Pro Tools 7.4 FW1814
Ok so i feel like i bought the bells and whistles to set up my home recording rig the right way so my band can put down some tracks im really only trying to move in 4 stereo tracks...or 8 total to be technical possibly another stero paired track....
So i bought me a new apple imac based on the fact that i used a mac book pro of less stats and i could navigate smoothly inside of PTMP...I macs from what i knew of were the same style of hardware just not mobile...
My I mac is 2.66ghz dc, 4 GB of ram 320HDD i have a WD External FW320 drive to digest all my audio...its daisyChained in the 2nd fw of my interface
im still recieving sloos of DAE errors and CPU overloads the DAE errors suggest increasing buffers and such. will this kill my latency when monitoring a drummer and using a click track for him to play to? and also when dubbing over tracks?
One of the other menacing DAE errors says the drive cannot read fast enough are western dig fw drives just bad or am i doing something wrong...Its ok to tell me im stupid im really looking for major help here i want my studio to function right i can mix im just horrible at bringing in the audio!
PLEASE HELP!!!!
