| I just got an mbox2 pro and have it connected to my computer (mac pro intel.) It works fine. However, I noticed that the power light is amber (it's not flashing.) WHen I use the power supply it's green (not flashing.) It it necessary or better to use the power supply? Thanks |

I was thinking the exact same thing as you Trish. I have it running off the computer through firewire and the light's amber. I can't imagine how it can power 2 mics and all the rest. I hope someone can help you.

I am also using mbox2 pro with a pc, and what I was told regarding the power supply question was that yes-your firewire connection will power your mbox, but the more power you need to it (powering mics, etc.) the more demand you put on your firewire connection? So the computer guy that told me this said it is Best to use the independent power supply rather than your cpu's firewire connection port...Hope this helps...
