    Angry Need Help Setting Up Rode Nt1-a Mic Asap with pro tools le7 via mbox 2

    iv bin having up most trouble trying to connect my rode nt1a microphone to my mbox.iv tried a verious different methods an still da mbox dosnt seem to pick up the mic.

    can someone please run me thru how an were i may be going wrong

    This might be a crazy question... But is the phantom power button on??? (48V button)...

    lololol yeh it is,guess ud av 2 ask everything lol

    but iv tryed almost every method

    and still not getting anything from the mic

    here's the steps - (assume the mic is in INPUT 1 w/ phantom ON)

    On the MBox:
    Input selector - mic
    Channel 1 gain control @ 50% - adjust later for proper input gain.

    Software:
    Open new track
    set track input to INPUT 1
    put into record ready (R button)

    thats hw i do it,but still no joy lol

    Yeah Im sure you knew that was bound to come...

    Have you checked your mic cable... Is it only in Protools? Do you have another program to check the mic input... Have you tried channel 2... (im sure you have...)

    It might be something with the interface.

    Any luck? If so what was the problem... let me guess bad mbox2? Bad cable? Bad engineer?
