Need help

I am just getting started with recording so I'm sorry for any dumb questions to come in the future. I recently purchased a tascam 122L, which came with cubase LE. I cannot seem to get sound to come from my computer when using cubase or garage band. Also I'm planning on getting pro tools but I'm not sure whether I should get the mbox 2 and get pro tools LE or if i should get the m-powered that comes with the Mobile pre am/interface. I was also wondering if I do get the m-powered bundle would I be able to record midi tracks with the tascam (the mobile pre doesn't have midi connections) and run them through pro tools or not. If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks!
