Mbox 2 Mini Problems

I have the mbox2 mini and pro tools LE software installed on my laptop computer. My computer is a Dell Vostro with windows XP, 2GB RAM, and 150GB hard drive.

When I first installed pro tools I was able to record for about 30seconds at which point i would get an error message. Although I can't remember exactly what the message was...so i let it go for a while and recorded using my old equipment.

Now, a few months later, when I try to open pro tools the status bar gets to about halfway and then freezes and I am unable to open the program at all...hence my forgetfulness of the earlier mentioned error message.

I'm wondering if perhaps I don't have my computer optimized correctly for this to work ? That was the only thing I could come up with.

Is it worth trying to uninstall and then reinstall?
