Default Mbox 2 Basics

I'm new to this stuff and would really appreciate some help.

Just got the mbox 2, Pro tools LE education version. I can't get the click track to play back. I followed the instructions in my manual.

1) Make new, aux (mono) track
2) Click on insert tab, insert plugin, instrument, click(mono)

I have the metronome button on the transport window selected. I have checked the box for click during record and play back.

I have headphones in the headphones jack and can hear other tracks but not the click. Why can't I hear it?

Sounds like you have done everything right. Check a couple of things.

1. Make sure the track is not muted.

2. Make sure the fader is turned up. I think a new Aux track defaults to -infinity so you will have to turn it up.

3. When playing back, see if you are getting the level meter responding, it should be bouncing up corresponding to the click. If you see the meter going and no sound, you at least know it is a sound output problem and not the click plug-in not working.

If you still have trouble let me know and I will go in my system and document each step to get mine working.
