Question how to get more than 8 inserts in 002? What is compatible?!?!

Hi guys
Im new to this forum ,so hello.
I have this common problem with the 002 i really really need more inserts than the 8 that the 002 comes with.I have used a Fostex ADAT VC-8 through a Soundcraft spirit 24 channel mixer so i can use up the option of 16 in. But i really need somthing more high end solution (im getting more and more important recordings ) and the fact that i dont have to set up and drag the mixer around its (big and heavy) if i have to record lots of instruments on a different location.
How about RME, Presonus, MOTU, Focusrite?!?!! are they compatible?!?! is there anny other brand of ad/da out there??? iv been asking around for ages and nobody can get me a straight answer.

I really dont want to shift to Logic just to get 8 more ins.

common u guys...annyone??? really need some help here

i know alot of the high end pre-amps that focusite and such made come with a optional ad/da card. really anything with a adat lightpipe connection would work fine.

You got a few options that all revolve around that adat/lightpipe connection... you would be able to use just about any preamp that has adat out.

You could also us the M-audio lightpipe adapter to get even more inputs... They should all work just as long as they have adat/optical/light pipe...

Question: the 002 has spdif coaxal in/outs... cause that's another 2 inputs..

So now the issue is which pre-amp... like the beringer ada2000 which is like $200... then u got the focusrite octo-pre but then u need the $250 optical card...

Good luck!
