Cool Help! ProTools, KorgK49, Garritan Orchestra

Hello everyone! I hope someone can give me some ideas about this situation I've come up against. I'm using ProTools 7.4 (Digi003), a Korg K49 controller, and the Garritan Personal Orchestra. Ok...now, I can record one midi track using the GPO and it sounds great. Next, I want to place a solo violin on a 2nd midi track to play along with the full orchestra that I first recorded. When I try to record the solo violin midi track ... well, nothing happens. The GPO plug-in is playing back the first midi track with no problem, and is ignoring what I'm trying to overdub with a GPO solo violin. I'm not changing anything while setting up the 2nd midi track as compared to the 1st track. When I audition the 2nd midi track it sounds fine - when I hit "record" to add the track on top of track 1 ... nothin happens on midi track 2 - track 1 is rocking along. If I'm thinking of this correctly, the reason for this is because the plug-in can only handle one midi track at a time?? Is there a way to take the recorded midi track and somehow make it an audio track by re-routing the track and having a new audio track record the music through ProTools? AM I missing something here?? It really bugs me to hear the samples on the GPO website, and I can hear tons of things going on, but I can't even get more than 1 midi track into ProTools! I also hate to think that I need to buy another Orchestral plug-in (such as MOTU Symphonic) just to play additional solo midi lines on top of GPO. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Live long and Prosper. Joe
