Default help with motif rack and pro tools

Hi there,

Anyone know how to get the Yamaha Motif Rack to work with Pro Tools Le? I've had this problem a while back and still can't make it work.

Here's my setup: Windows XP SP2 running Pro Tools 7.0 with 002R. I'm using an external keyboard to controll/trigger the notes/sounds in the motif into pro tools. The main problem is that when I record midi, I can see the midi notes appear in Pro Tools but when I playback, I just don't hear any sound coming from the motif or pro tools at all. My connections seems to be right. I've tried all the possbible ways to connect but I'm out of ideas. I use to two midi cables to connect my keyboard thru the motif and into the 002r.

Please help. Thanks.

In midi studio setup, is the motif selected as a device and routed properly? If it is, and the output of your MIDI track is set to the MOTIF, AND the motif's audio outputs are wired to PT in, you should be fine. Any other pertinent details?

I got to work now but there is just one little problem. I've been getting latency from the motif. Do you have this problem too? How did you fix it?

Hi my name is Immanuel. I'm glad to find this forum. I have been using pro-tools 002 rack for about a year. I turned the rack on the other day and all I'm getting is a flashing green light in the back and a simultaneous clicking with it. Does anyone know what is going on. Thanks Immanuel
