 fast track ultra and pro tools?
new here and fairly new to recording. would anyone recommend the fast track ultra for pro tools m-powered? what's the comparison of the usb2 interface with a firewire interface, does it matter? we're looking for something with 8 inserts to record drums simutaneously. appreciate any help.  |

Hi Welcome! The Fasttrack ultra should work great with pro tools. USB2.0 should be fine for 8 tracks, no difference with firewire in this case. You're looking for 8 inputs I think you mean. Inserts are something else entirely (FTU has 2) It only has 4 preamps though. You can try the Fasttrack ultra 8R, which is similar only in a rack with 8 preamps. |
