I have a new MBox 2 mini. It's hooked up to a Media Center box.
I've installed the main drivers & ProTools LE. I can get an input signal from my mic when recording in ProTools, but I have NO sound when playing back. Any suggestions on that? |

I just bought the Mbox 2 Mini with Pro Tools LE also and I have a Windows Media Center computer as well. According to my level indicator, I'm getting a signal, however, I cannot hear anything coming through my speakers and when I try to record, it just records silence. I've used other software like Cakewalk and Garageband and Reason and I've never had trouble using any of them. What is wrong?

If you can get an input signal its probably not broken.
With the MINI hooked up but without Pro Tools launched, when you run a music app like iTunes can you hear anything through that? Most likely you have to set the Sound output settings to the MINI in a preference tab |

I just got an MBox 2 Mini too, and hooked up to M-Audio BX5a speakers. At first it worked. After installing and uninstalling Pro Tools several times (other problems entailed, but that's a different forum), the volume of the speakers are super soft now even when I blast to full volume! I tried turning off PT LE 7.3 and play songs from iTunes but it's still super soft. The LED is lit though. Any ideas? THANKS! |

The knobs on the back are turned up.
Thanks though Andrew! I did just got it to work though!! The problem was that all the knobs on the Mbox 2 Mini don't come with instructions (or maybe it's just me)... but it turns out that all the knobs have to be turned up in addition to the volume knob (and of course the amp knob) to get the sound out. Jeez..... ![]() |

I just got a mbox mini 2 I have plugged it in and everything and the LED wont turn on when I press the phantom power is there like a special procedure I have to follow or what or does the protools have to be installed
because I have hooked everything up but not installed protools because it says I have to install every manatory update or something The guy at the store said to pop in the CD and the follow the instructions but one cd is for translations of the guide another is the protools le 7 and the other cd is 'structure free: free sample player' |
