can't use pro tool for this so help..

I just can't figure out how to load a vst for us in acid pro 8. Please help this dumb man. Here is the vst I want to load: http://illformed.org/plugins/glitch/

or if there is some other freeware that would allow me to use this VST, it's just for one project so I just need to get by. Any info would be great.

That's a great plugin.

Are you sure you're loading it as an effect and not an instrument.
I wish I could help you more, but I don't have Acid, and have never used it.

The problem is that I'm not loading it at all.. I downloaded acid pro just so that I can use this effect, I'm a pro tools guy..

Any thoughts?

get the FXpansion vst to Rtas adapter then. Just use it In Pro Tools.



It works on my system except sometimes the graphics are messed up, you have to 'paint' another window over it for the graphics to render right. Kinda strange but the sound works.

I read about that but I need to be very careful with my money right now, that's why I was hoping for a freeware option.

I believe Audacity can use VSTs and it's a free download.

Or if you have a copy of Ableton Live (my version of ProTools came with Live Lite), it can use VSTs too and you can run it in ReWire mode in ProTools.
