Question Can't get this to work!

Just bought a Digidesign MBox2 with Pro Tools bundled with it and have also bought some M-Audio studio monitors. Am getting sound through the monitors using Pro Tools and media player after setting the sound configuration within Windows XP to use the MBox 2 for audio, but cannot get the sound from web pages or any other sound source (i.e. quicktime, iTunes etc.) to go through the monitors. Have tried disabling the on board soundcard from the BIOS, but it's still not happening. Any ideas anyone?

What OS are you using?

There is no wave driver for Vista yet, and the wave driver for XP is known to have lots of issues with quicktime and itunes.

Try downloading Digi MME Helper above. You can add applications to the list like itunes and IE, however like i said, there have been problems with skipping audio in some applications.

Sounds like you got the bundle, that's what I bought. Setting up is a little tricky, I will try to explain, btw, I have had this work on one of my Laptops that run Vista, works good.

The M-Audio should have come with a gray and orange cable , you plug that in the back of the monitors and the other end into the MBOX.
I do not use sound from my computer through these monitors, that is not what they are for.
I use my regular Logitech speakers for my PC.
The computer sends sound to the mbox via the USB cable, then outputs it to the reference monitors. Protools does this.
Hope that helps.
