This might be obvious, but I have watched numerous tutorials and read all over the internet but now I have had enough. I have a setup of a Tc.electronics konnekt 24D and a midi-interface with a machinedrum and an access virus C connected. The thing is I can only get my channels 1/2 to sound in sonar. I checked if the problem where still there in cubase and they where. Then I added in cubase in the device setup a new stereobus, then my konnekt 1/2 showed up and I got sound. What I wonder is, where do you do this in sonar, it says no where how you get more than on stereo out on the soundcard to play sound. It takes for granted only sound is coming out from 3/4 and that is even if I switch in the audio setup for record master as konnekt 1/2 and so on. There is something wrong here and I hope someone can help me? I was really looking forward to sonar, but the troubles are really stacking up now and I might just go back to cubase but I really liked alot of the stuff in Sonar. I can also say so you don't have to ask, I have checked and switch the cables, it's always channel 3/4 on the soundcard that give sound, except in Cubase where I get sound from all inputs. I have also recorded some midi from that channel and all that works fine in Sonar, I have also used my mic and got sound there from the front channels. I have choosen konnekt 24D as my main card for everything. It somehow wanted me to choose Asio4all Tc Electronics first. But I figured that out and I guess that's better now. Because with the Asio4all on the Tc konnek 24D I got weird outs, like just 1, 2, 3, 4 and it did not match up at all with the 1/2, 3/4 and so on like I have and how it shows up in Cubase. Anyone? Thank's |

Yes, but I have done that, I mean it see my konnekt 24D hardware and I disabled the asio4all stuff. But somehow it greyed out my ability to change stuff on the control panel that comes with the firewire card. And one more thing, I don't get it, it says konnekt 24D mic/inst/line 1 konnekt 24D Line 3 L So it looks like it skips ports or does it do this? I mean it does not mention the right? I mean there should be L/R on both out and in. But I see it like this on outputs. konnekt 24D Line 3 L and on inputs Konnekt 24D Line 3 L But where is Line 3 R in sonar, in cubase it shows it like it says on my card 1/2 and 3/4. But it does not say stereo like you say it should? |

One more thing, I don't hear the midi from the devices if I don't first switch a program number, change sound that is. Then it starts playing the midi notes, when I then press stop again I must do that precedure again or else it wont play the sound from the synths, it all seems very strange? Is there something I missed in the midi setup also when it behaves like that? |
