| Sonar 8 producer trial version,Vista home premium, Sony laptop 2G RAM, Tascam Us122 interface, VoiceLive2 harmonizer What a nightmare. On audio cut/paste, I can do about 3 of these then I get the blue screen of death. On playback, Sonar asks me for MIDI output device on EVERY song (yes, it knows US122 is there), Sonar freezes during playback (screen goes gray) about every 20th song, on reboot won't recognize USB device. Vista knows it's there. I reverted to Sonar 7, it gave me the warning "songs were saved in later version", some played, some wouldn't output anything. I don't know if I need to go back to XP for this, or of my 3.4 Us122 driver is just not compatible, or if Sonar 8 is not ready for prime time. Grrrrr.... |

Hmmm. SONAR 8 definitely installs and runs 64-bit on Vista 64. 64-bit should give you better performance, more tracks and effects etc. I see on the SONAR webtrial page there is both a 32 bit and 64 bit trial. Which version of vista do you have 32 or 64 bit? Finally it looks like the latest US-122 driver version is 3.4 (which you have) and it needs Vista SP2. |
