Check roland website for drivers for your operating system. If you can't get anything working on it maybe you should pronounce it dead on arrival.

If you use Vista....this link confirms it is not compatible: Windows Vista Compatibility List Then you might want to try ASIO4ALL here: ASIO4ALL - Universal ASIO Driver If you have a mac you need this driver: USB Audio ASIO driver 1.08 software download - Mac OS X - VersionTracker IF you have XP, You need this driver: Your New Driver - USB ASIO for MAYA EX7 Driver Package - Windows drivers You have your operating system sound driver and recording software drivers mixed up in termonology. What the above means is You have to find an ASIO driver for it to use in your music recording application.....you can't just plug into it and hear sounds without selecting a new audio track, then selecting your ASIO device as an input WITHIN your recording software OR you have to run a standalone application that will HOST the ASIO sound device.etc. You have a long way to go.......but remember I was there EXACTLY around March of this year! You external sound card WILL work! p.s. As a side note, when you ask for help with such a loaded question as this, it is really helpful to post you computer specs.......because then I wouldn't have to list all those links for you. Some people put their computer specs and software of choice right in their signature for this reason. Cheers! |
