Thumbs up Recording Delay & Audio Engine Error

Hi Everyone,

Whenever I record in nuendo 2. I'm getting a delay of some milliseconds.
I know this is because of latency problem, but kindly give me any solution for this while I'm using the onboard sound card of my Lenovo R61 Notebook.

Second problem is that after few seconds of recording it stops and the error comes "Audio Engine Error".

I'm trying to solve this problem since so long.
Kindly give me some appropriate solution to this problem..

Regards,
Manish Nahar

Interesting. You have $2k software and a free soundcard.

What do you mean by delay? Do you mean that you hit a key on a MIDI controller and there is a noticeable lag before you hear the note? Do mean you are monitoring in Nuendo and there is a delay before you heard yourself in the headphones?

If so, the only solution is a real audio interface. You can try downloading ASIO4All to work with your onboard soundcard as that is free, but no guarantees.

Not sure about that one. What are you doing to cause the error? What is your CPU % running at?
