Default Quieter Louder

Ok.. I have another "issue" for anyone who might have a suggestion in older versions of cakewalk I could take an isolated clip and add a "louder" or "quieter" In Sonar when I pan volume it pans for the entire track.. all clips included in the track how to I change the volume.. or an isolated clip or more than one clip on 1 track?:

If you have lots of differences between clips in one track, you should probably edit and copy those clips into new tracks and set your pan and volume as you need.

If you want to keep everything on one track you can create a track, or clip envelop. Since you mention "cakewalk" and not "sonar", and I don't know what version of Sonar you are using I'm not sure if that option will be available to you. Highlight the clip, or track that you want to control, right click, add envelopes, choose the envelope you want (volume, pan, etc..) and make your track or clip adjustments.

sonar 6 at the moment thank you for the response and advice but I think I figured it out.. you have to double click the track then it opens "loop construction" then I clicked 'properties' and then 'Audio Stretching' tab then select the 'Enable Looping' box then I pressed 'ok' then there were a whole bunch of "flags" on the clip so I played with it a bit and figured out to changes "eighth notes" slicing to "no slicing" then changed the adjust the gain envelope.. ok its a bit over-complicated but I figured out a way to change the volume of a clip in a track.. anyone know a quicker method? less steps? the correct way?
