Default Purchasing Sonar 8.5 What book or tutorial?

Hello everyone.

I am a complete newbie to this. 20 years ago I recorded quite a bit with the tascam portatwo.

I have recently taken up music again and I am playing 2 shows a month.

I am making a significant investment in a home studio.

So far, I have my computer (very nice, and will be dedicated to JUST the studio), Presonus Firepod with 8 inputs, and M-Audio BX8A 130w powered monitors and 5 nice audix mics (D6, 3 i5s, 2 f15s) and now I am buying Sonar 8.5 Producer addition.

My friend was going to 'hook me up' with Sonar 7, but only had 5 PE. So, I talked to the wife and she is letting me purchase the 8.5!

What books / tutorials do you recommend for this? My friend is going to show me some stuff hands on. But, I would like a GREAT book to go along or tutorial package to go along with it.

What would you recommend for a newbie?

Thank you SO much for your time.

Mike

I was recommended to get Scott Garrigus's book "Sonar 8 Power". It's far more detailed then the manual that is shipped with sonar..I got mine off Amazon..about $35. He explains everything in good detail.
