About a Month Ago My HD crashed, so I installed a bigger HD(500 GB) to accomodate the larger audio files that I would be recording. Now I'm not getting a recording signal into Sonar 4. In The Track's Input field I have left, right, and stereo to check, Arm track for recording, but not audio coming thru. I'm sorry Brandon but I am using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Card. I'm planning on updating to a Delta in the near future.. I am using a Mixer also, Behringer 1622FX, Main Outs to Line-In, Line-Out to Tape Input and getting audio back to Headphones. In recording Properties I have these choices listed for Playback>Play Control>Wave>Midi Synth>S/PDIF-In>CD Digital>Auxillary>CD Audio>Line In>Tad-In>Microphone. For Recording I Have Midi Synth>What U Hear>S/PDIF>CD Digital>Analog Mix (Line/CD/Aux/Tad/PC > Microphone>Wave. I dont ever remember seeing the Analog Mix selection when I was using Sonar before all this happened. It could have been there, I just don't remember seeing it. I do remember the line I used for recording as Being Aux/Line2, but nowhere is it to be found. Do I need to remove the sound card and re-install. Any and All Help Appreciated. Eddie |

Hey Eddie - Does the audio engine in SONAR show that it is active/running? I'm not an Audigy authority, but from a strictly computer standpoint, do you mean you replaced your HD and reinstalled windows from the ground up? Total lack of sound in this scenario, the first thing I would check is that you have installed the drivers for the sound card. If all you did was reinstall XP/Vista there is a chance that the drivers for that card were not installed, or even installed completely. Reinstalling the card/driver (use whatever sequence the mfr suggests) would be a sensible attempt at solving the problem. Try that, see if it works - also if there is an internal audio card (on the motherboard) it may be best to disable it in the BIOS setup...could be SONAR sees that and isn't using the audigy at all.. wj PS: See heikobear's post in this section about reinstallation - Metaltyme has a good response about Sonar initial audio setup you should review... Thanks cwjones for the reply. After not being able to get anything accomplished re-installing, deleting and physically removing the card and re-installing again, i just went and bought a M-Audio Delta 44 and things are back to normal......Thanks Eddie
