Default More Sonar gripes!

OK I've written some good reviews on Sonar in the past glorifing this program but dammit I've got more problems.

When I loop record it fails to record the last few milliseconds of audio! I end up having to extend my loop region just so I can get the entire measure filled with information. This never happened in 6, I first noticed it in 7 and expected a fix by 8, I'm losing my faith.

;O
How far we've come when this is all it takes to lose faith. We are so spoiled.

So I've got to ask, if you are done with the product, why are you hanging out on a Sonar forum?

Well the reason is simple. I had a lot of problems with sonar and i want to help people out even if i don't use it anymore. Is that not the point of this forum? If you look at some of my previous posts you'll see that's what i'm doing. And actually it wasn't a year just some months ago. Sorry for exagerrating! I try to help guys on the ableton forum too. I'm currently using both ableton and reaper cause i find they both do some things better than the other and i like using them both for different applications.

Well that seems decent enough. Sorry for the misgivings, I just get frustrated with people who just want to bash a product [ particularly one I just purchased ].

Best regards, Harry

I don't use Sonar and don't hang out on the forum here either.

I just clicked on 'new posts' and here it is.

To each their own.

Prime example:
Quote:
Recording is supposed to be productive and also fun.
I 100% agree. I get all that with Sonar.

Quote:
Sonar is neither of these!
I 100% completely disagree...but that's also quite ok.

Other DAW packages I've worked with (Cubase/Garageband/Audacity/Pro-Tools) seem very quirky, gimmicky, and un-intuitive for my style of workflow...but, that's just me. It's kinda cool that one man's garbage DAW is another's master-tool...that's what gives us diverse character in each of our styles of workflow. ... .. .... .. . "KOOM-BY-YAH MY..." Nobody's up for it!? Fine...

[...then off to the matter at hand, I suppose]:

I've tried to reproduce the problem with my version of Sonar 8 Producer, but I'm getting perfect results instead. I also have the latest update from Cakewalk's website. Could that possibly be your problem? If not, then I must now ask how your "measures" are setup in Sonar. Is it with any accompanying MIDI tracks? Also, are your snap properties set at a very miniscule value for each interval tick? If you could elaborate a little more, I might be able to provide a bit of assistance. Just let me know.
