if you double click on your midi file
are you saying no program pops up
and trys to play it ?

my family pc does that and i have no music software on the email pc

you need speakers plugged into teh pc to hear it

and if it does play the midi isnt there also an option to save as wav ??

wehre, indeed!

Nobody needs us midi_is_cool guys when they can get priceless advice like that from the midi_sucks guys!

"Plug teh speakers in". Brilliant. We MIDI dinosaurs would never have thought to offer that advice.

got all my problems solved. this forum has helped me so much words cannot explain. Pretty much what I do now is bounce a very short midi track that is going to be looped. Then I copy and paste them as audio. Much more efficient and never crashes!

You can apply any audio effects you want to the Audio Output of the synth in question. Not the most effective/efficient way to do things, but it works.

I always do all my MIDI stuff first, and then bounce the tracks to audio, archiving the MIDI tracks in case I need them later.

That's how I have been doing mine. Setting up the midi then bouncing to audio track by track to apply fx.

Highlight all the tracks you want recorded, then goto file and then export audio. box pops up lower right there's drop down box, put "what you hear" in that box and it will bounce down your drum tracks......
