Default Input Echo-Through

Hey there!

Okay, so here's the problem I'm having and I'm wondering if it's possible to fix it, since it might not technically be called a "problem," but more of an inconvenience and source of frustration which may be built into the program. I don't know, that's why I'm asking here. =D

So, at base, the problem comes down to this, I can't turn input echo off completely. I click on the little button that's supposed to do it, and it turns from yellow to blue. Progressive reclicks turn it back to yellow then back to blue, etc, but never off. The only way I can get it to turn off completely is to click it to blue, then click on the input echo for another track and turn that one to yellow. For some reason, this shifts the original from blue to nothing at all. This is problematic for two reasons, one being that getting input monitoring on only one or x-amount of specific tracks requires a long song and dance. Secondly, I can't turn input monitoring off completely, since once I'm to the last track, there's no "next track" to apply this process to. Even clicking the "input echo [on/off] all tracks" button does not deactivate this last track.

Additionally, I have another similar problem. An example is the best way I can figure out to describe it: If I have one track with active input echo (using the technique that I've found above), and I simply click on any part of another track in the track-list, it'll reactivate that track to blue, which then requires that I have to once again go through the process described above.

So, as you can tell, this problem isn't life threatening, but it's a cause of much inefficiency and frustration. Is there any hope?

I am running Sonar 6 with Vista maybe it is a software/hardware issue.. test everything set things back to default as much as possible.. you can always tweak things back into shape. other than that at this point I dunno.. good luck.
