i've just got sonar 7 installed,i was using cubase before,i cant add a MONO track for recording...how to add one????and another problem,the vocal coming from the monitor is strong enuff,but when it's done recording,it's weakened??why???wrong setting?or?

just record something, right click on the audio clip and hit convert to mono, or use the mono input driver in the input dropdown list if you have one available..like "PCI Card In R" instead of "PCI Card In Stereo" or whatever, depends on your drivers and hardware of course.
as far as the vocal problem what mixing software are you using for your audio interface, you may have a gain stage after the audio has already been sent to sonar...what type of levels are you getting on the actual sonar track when inputting w/ the mic. AS far as mono - SONAR will record whatever kind of singal you are sending it. So in your input, you need to designate it as coming from one of the mono sources from your interface.
As far as the level - again - see what your interface settings are - there may be a pad or level setting somewhere in it. The "LEVEL" has NOTHING to do with Sonar - it's your source and your interface. |
