Default Effect tails during mixdown

I guess I've just gotten used to it and worked around this prob but I want to see if I'm alone here.

For years now I've noticed that when I have a delay on an instrument at the end of a song, during mixdown I'll here that tail at the beginning of the song. It only happens after I listen to the song and stop it before the effects tail has finished, if I let the tail finish and then mixdown it works just fine.

Not a huge prob...just annoying.

I got the same problem with Sonar. I'll also hear it when I'm playing back to the end. When I hit the "go back to the beginning of the song" button, it'll do it.

It's annoying for the client with headphones on waiting to record their part.

if it helps-
one - there's an option control in sonar to specify - play effects on stop or not
B - if it's enabled, playing tails, I tap the spacebar again and it cuts them immediately.

It usually makes the kids giggle. I don't use a ton of plugs but when I did this bothered me big time.

Lookin options and audio and see if the box is checked that turns the tails on.
