Default Distorted Playback Sound

I've just started using Sonar 5 Power Studio and i think it is great. However, i've had some problems thus far. Ever time i play back what i've recorded, it sounds like a wattery hole punching affect is on it, but i assure you there is not affect present. When i export the song, there are no problems with the audio, and i'm sure it's not the hardware because i've tried using 2 devices (both had same problem). Please, let me know if this sounds at all farmiliar.

Talking Re: Distorted Playback Sound (fix!)

We had the EXACT same problem!!! I'm so surprised that a program with such high regard would have that problem, but whatever. We were very irritated and started changing a bunch of different things but it kept messing up. I'm glad I found a forum where I can vent about this!

BUT, we just fixed it!!! We fiddled around with a bunch of different stuff, and it finally worked GREAT once we changed this:

Go to:
Options > Audio > General Tab >
Move the "buffer slider" all the way to the right, to (safe)

Hopefully that should work!!! We also messed around with bitrates so if it doesn't work with just moving the buffer slider, then it might be a combinations of those things. Let us know and we'll see if we can remember exactly all we did.

Well, it seems there were alot of things wrong with my settings. After reinstalling the program and making sure all my settings were in check, i somehow managed to get the sound to stop without changing the buffer slider. However, i will keep this trick in mind if i encounter this problem again. Thank you for your help
