Default Bounceing a soft synth to a audio track

Ok I am sure this is in the manual somewhere, but I am just starting off with Sonar and would really appreciate a quick answer if possible. I promise I will RTFM as soon as possible!

I created a soft synth track and recorded a performance that I like. I now want to record the output of the soft synth to an audio tracks so that I can send that off to a collaborator. How do I do it?

Thanks! -Harry

what did you create it in? why not just use Sonar? or Rewire to route FL studio or Reason in Sonar?.. go to youtube and search for Sonar tutorials.. there is alot of help to be found doing that *sorry if that doesn't help im not sure i understand exactly what your trying to do*

I recorded the midi track in Sonar 8. I just have not learned how to bounce the midi / soft synth track into an audio track.

Oh and I am on a 64 bit OS so ( if I read the manual correctly ) I cannot use rewire.

I will check out youtude and see if I can find it there.

Thanks, -Harry

If you have already inserted your soft-synth of choice properly into Sonar, and you actually hear the soft-synth's sounds as you playback your MIDI, do this:

Make sure that what you want to export as audio is not muted, as any tracks that are muted will not be included in the export.

Go to "File"
Then select "Export"
Select "Audio"

Choose the settings of which you'd like to export it...wav, mp3, etc / 44.1, 96, etc.

You're done.

make sure nothing is highlighted when you are prompting to bounce from midi to audio. Click Edit, Bounce to audio. Then you will select a destination for the midi track to be bounced on. click on the tap it says "mix down" and youll see a selection for "tracks", then you just choose the midi track you want.

pst me if you have further questions
