Not Receiving E-mails

Can anyone tell me why I'm no longer receiving e-mails when someone comments on a thread I've subscribed to/commented on? I've gone to the User CP and double-checked that my e-mail is correct still (it is). It really sucks to have to go to the User CP and click on "subscribed threads" and then manually check to see if someone has replied yet, especially since (as you may already know) I'm a highly active participator in this forum community. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. If this is fixed, reply to this thread and hopefully I'll get an e-mail.

Yeah, I didn't get an e-mail for your response. I'm hoping Brandon or Audio Geek or another admin will see this and help me out. I'd be willing to negotiate a favor in return.

There are a few possibililities. I want to point out that I do get an email for every thread response so it's safe to safe the forum is capable of sending out the necessary emails.

#1 UserCP > Options
I'd make sure you have the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" set to Instand Email Notification.

That should be the only setting on the forum end.

#2 Make sure you email service isn't blocking this sort of thing. Email services continually attempt to fight spam and because that they continue to block more and more good emails. I've encountered certain email accounts over the years that had no problem with me sending an email (personally) but would block those sent by the forum.

Security software these days is well known for simply nuking everything. It's blatant irresponsibility on the part of the security software designers in my opinion, but that's another topic. So if you have any security software running make sure you've taken the steps to ensure that RecordingReview.com emails are getting through.

It's very possible that your email server is killing the emails before they even show up. That's a much tougher task to deal with. There is no good answer on how to deal with that one, unfortunately.

Well i didn't change anything at all but when i checked my e.mail today i had over fifty messages, mostly from the forum. So whatever you did, thanks!

Personally I'd hate to receive an email for every new post.
I go straight to the User CP, and open each subscribed thread in a new tab.
I'm here at least once a day anyway

It's not for every new post. It's just an e-mail that says "hey, (insert username here) has replied to the thread 'blah blah blah' that you subscribed to" and gives you the link. It also says "there may be other replies" and then that's it until you reply again or something. I don't know. I like the notifications. But that's just me I guess.

Everyone's views on this one are different. I ALWAYS want to know if someone has responded to a thread I've posted here or on other forums because I want to know if my question has been answered.

For RecordingReview.com I also get a new email for every new thread created (looks like I have 7,961 threads to respond to).
