Default how do i use the quote option

if i have specific questions that i want to refer to someones blogs, how do i pick the part of it and put it in a quote box

When you read someone's post, click on the QUOTE button instead of the REPLY button. Then it will show you the entire quote bracketted by "{quote" things. Just select and delete the part of the quote that you don't want to show up later. After the end quote thingy, write what you have to say.

Just select and delete the part of the quote that you don't want to show up later. i hit quote, got rid of the brackets and just left the text i wanted and am now typing after it but im not sure if this will put the above what i wanted in a box

maybe this will work if i type after the quote bracket

Another way if you haven't figured it out yet is to type add the actual quote html tags to whatever you are quoting. This gives you the freedom to add the quote to wherever you want within your post.

In general with tags there is a start tag and an end tag.
For every start tag there must be an end tag or the start tag won't work.
The end tag is depicted by having '/' next to it.
These tags are always enclosed by '[' & ']'.

[ quote ] (remove spaces) = start tag
[ /quote ] (remove spaces) = end tag
