Bashing sub forums

Hi'yall

still very new & fresh faced here but am loving looking through the site & call me a nerd, but in only a day the amount of tips I have gleaned already has excited me greatly.

I fired up a tune to 'bash' but it took a while to work out where to actually stick it.
Would there be a benefit adding sub forums for pop/indie, acoustic & an 'anything else'? Perhaps not, else they'd be there.
Just a thought...

Well, I'm not sure about "pop/indie" as a) I have no idea what that is...and b) I'm positive that Beyonce does fit pop and doesn't fit Indie. "Acoustic" isn't really a genre to me. It's an instrument. So that one may need further refining.

I'm totally up for further suggestions, though. I totally agree that the current genres are not entire adequate.

Technically everything we post is "indie" unless their are some major lables using us to test their mixes? And "pop" pretty much encompasses anything rock or hip hop (whcih is now the melting pot of all things rap and R&B).

Anywho...

The more sub foums you add, the less people are gonna show up to bash you simply because they have pre-determined that they don't like your music.

Agreed. I wonder if there is a better way. Hell, I wonder if zero genres is better. When Killer Home Recording is launched I'll have to dig into this as part of the big RecordingReview.com site structure overhaul.
