The problem is that many of the products that have been listed by Brandon don't have even one review yet. If you see something there that you can provide feedback on, jump right in and let everyone know what you think of the product. bilco I think you just haven't read through all of the reviews yet. |

Then, I can put together some kind of contest and get the ball rolling to get people posting reviews. Quote:
I initially wanted to provide something better than the bullshit hype the manufacturers always dillute their descriptions with. However, doing this with 2,000 products is unrealistic. I'm better off just copying the description from Musiciansfriend. Brandon |

I'm posting a Review of my new "baby" - I have a roomful of amps (just 7) including 4 tube amps and was hunting for a great recording amp - kept trying different tube amps - 2 VJ's and 2 Vintage 60's combos but recently aquired a VOX DA10 SS modeling amp - wow... the tone is just amazing - I believe I found the amp to record with and it's a 10-watt SS modeling amp. Tone is just rich and lush - time will tell - just ordered a Shure 57 and will begin my quest when it arrives. Don't believe all the "Tube Amp" hype - some SS amps have beautiful tone - I also have an old 80's Roland 50-watt DAC-50XD that's basically a poor mans Jazz Chorus - 4 speakers and chorus and delay to die for built-in (along with flanger, etc) - cleans are amazingly rich even cranked up to deafening levels.

| I tried a few modeling amps awhile back (Microcube, Spider, etc) but was never really impressed - already had 2 multi-effect pedals so I had all the digital effects I needed. This new Vox actually sounds better - that's why I wanted the sm57 - the DA10 has an emulated LINE OUT for recording direct into a board or computer, etc. but I want to Mic it and listen to it "objectively" - just to make sure I'm not hallucinating or just infatuated with a new toy. I swear it has great tonal qualities...
