Brandon, I would like to review the FMR RNP.

I would also like to review the original Mbox1, even though it is discontinued, maybe even the Digi001 and Digi002 Rack. I guess I could roll it into a consolidated Digidesign/Pro Tools products review. They are all discontinued now, but I am always a bottom feeder on buying this gear to save some bucks. Like buying a 5 year old car instead of a brand new one.

If you ever get around to instruments, I have nothing but good things to say about the Fender Pbass too.

I don't have any specific brand names in mind but I'd love to see a comparitive review of a few reference monitors although I understand the results can differ depending on your home/room/studio acoustics/insulation etc setup.
I just started a thread in the Audio Engineering forum for suggestions.

It seems that we frequently get the question about which software to use. It usually boils down to Cubase or Pro Tools, probably because that is what a lot of people use here.

You could probably write a book about Cubase but howsabout an in depth review on the MIDI functionality of Cubase since that seems to be what sets those two pieces of software apart. What is it that really makes Cubase better for MIDI?

That's a great question. Since I've not used any other software for MIDI sequencing, the only answer I can give is it can do everything I've ever needed it to do. That's a very vague, but at the same time, ultraflattering claim.

Digital Performer actually smokes anything else I've seen in regards to midi.

I get around and do what I need in Cubase, but DP can for example solo single midi note if you need to cut separate audio tracks from a drum machine. Also its humanize features really set it apart from Cubase - it sound more realistic. Cubase has something similar but it is not as robust.

There was a thread that explained how to do this in Cubase around here somewhere, but I've never tried.
