Kind of pulling off of that, why not do what myspace does? Allow people to sell their song on the site for $0.99 and recording review takes a certain % of the prophet.

I have several CD's I've produced that I can get my artists to contribute as well. I also have small cash contributions I can deliver (I live hand to mouth as well). Whatever it takes to make RecordingReview.com continue it's excellent cause.

count me in to anything brandon can come up with. The following ideas are great ones:
(1) Donations (although I am not sure I trust paypal ... we could send a cheque? (2) A "Best of Recording Review 200?" CD .. could have one each year .. I'd buy it for normal CD prices. (3) selling ppl's CD's online and taking a commission sounds good too (4) What about a subscription/donation ... You can be a member for as little as nothing a year, but choose to pay if you wish. Normal subscription notifications would remind users about the need for funds. Anyway, Im sure there are loads of ways to do this and I love this site so count me in. Brandon you are amazing!!!! p.s. I had some afterthoughts ... "RR presents: Best submissions 2007" "RR presents: Best Metal submissions 2007" "RR presents: Best Pop submissions 2007" "RR presents Warped songs 2007" - amusing (on purpose) songs submitted by RR users" "Bloopers 2007 - funniest mistakes submitted by users" (not a derogatory idea .. just fun) The mind boggles at the possibilities. As far as subscription, I think that would kill the site. I would not have come to this site if I had to pay to register. I bet Brandon would even lose money (from the ads) if it went subscription based. I do, however, think that sporadic Fundraisers are the best deal. If you constantly have a "Donate" link up, poeple will ignore it. But if we have like biannual (or even just annual) fundraisers/donation prize giveaways (that isn't a raffle), I know I personally would donate to get a chance to get the "prize". Its a fun little thing that we can do to raise money and get the opportunity to win a cool prize that we all could use.
