New Design At Recording Review

New Design
After using a wretchedly ugly, cluttered design here at RecordingReview.com, I finally broke down and took a few day to put something a little "cleaner" up.

The idea is make the information available here at recordingreview.com to be more accessible, easier to read, and easier to look at it.

The new design puts a much greater emphasis on the community. I'm hoping to increase site memberships and forum activity. We'll see!

Advertising Space For Sale
While it is not finished, I'm working on a system so that anyone interested can purchase advertising space.

New Article / Blog System
From now on, all new articles will be done through the recording blog It's a much better system that allows me to do much greater things. That's the English version. The old article system is still up and running (although buggy at the moment) so you can still have access to all the 200+ previous articles.

Good Bye To The Directory
The directory is gone. It did not do what I initially planned on it doing. You probably didn't even know it was there.

Soundcard Reviews On Hiatus
Soundcard Reviews are temporarily paused. I rushed through the scripting on that one, took some chances, and these chances did not pay off. However, I plan on taking some time to really improve this and make it reviews for everything...not just audio interfaces.

Bugs I'm Working Out

I've always HATED the old design.

I've had potential clients (for web stuff) who have wanted to see my work. I was always too embarrassed to show them.

I'm just hoping the improved "usability" will allow the site to grow. It couldn't hurt!

The old layout was really confusing but the new look is nice and clean.

Wow! I new the look sucked, but I didn't know it caused respitory problems.

Hi Brandon,
I like to the new look much better. The only problem I have is with the post numbers showing from most recent to old. This makes me have to go to the bottom of the last page of a thread and start reading from there and up.
can I change this setting?

Thanks Brandon, I did just what you said to fix the problem and all is well now.
I looked at the noisemakernews site it is looking very promising.
I'll be checking it out frequently to see what's new there.
