Looking For Judges For Techno/Pop/Dance Contest

Hey guys/gals,

I'm looking for volunteers for the upcoming Toontrack Mixing Wars: Techno contest. (The song is probably more like dance/pop, but whatever).

The Deal: Only people with at least 50 posts are allowed to enter so I HOPE this makes the number of entries a little more bearable. I'll be judging all entries myself, but I'd like to have 5 MEGA SERIOUS, FLAT-OUT-AGREE-TO-LISTEN-TO-THESE-MIXES type of judges. Because I require entrants to have 50 posts, I also require volunteers to have 50 posts for the same reasons.

In the past, I'd get a s**** of volunteers in the beginning and only like 10% of the judges actually come through. (Super thanks to those dudes! You know who you are! )

I don't expect everyone to listen to all the mixes, but 50 is a good, round number of what I expect.

You must have a decent understanding of modern pop/techno/dance which can be easily acquired below.

This song is probably the greatest motivator to encourage smoking, war, suicide, and just about any other form of population control. (I assume particle physicists are mostly immune to these.) However, that chorus gets me every time.

Whatever.

I still feel like the "message" of this song isn't all that different from what Joseph Goebbels had to say.

We don't have any blockers at school. The university has a freedom of access policy. They also actively support YouTube. But its working here now at home, so maybe it was just a network thing.

I wish I could help. I have the time, but not the connection(nor the qualification, really). Besides the volunteer spirit, though, I would also look at it as a good opportunity to learn something. So, it may help to look at this as a good education experience.

or maybe we shouldnt bother brandon about the judging criteria. when and if we are selected then we should come up with ourselves and see if brandon approves it or not.
